Participated in many loose partnerships and co-operative printing and publishing ventures, including with George Risk and William Smith (1726–56) and with his son Alexander (1744) (Munter).

[Details differ according to sources: Munter gives the dates and addresses as above. Boydell (Calendar) gives Ewing in 1729 only. Munter, under 'Smith, William', states that the Risk, Ewing & Smith partnership began in 1727 but under 'Ewing, George' and 'Risk, George' he states that it began in 1726.]
