Relationship to Dominick Gunan unknown. Benefit concerts held for 'Mr Gunan' in 1750 (Fishamble Street, 18 April), 1753 (Marlborough Bowling Green, 24 August), 1757 (Fishamble Street, 19 March) and 1758 (Fishamble Street, 10 March) could refer to either Dominick or Peter.

Boydell states that Peter Gunan was Cousser's harpsichord maker in Dublin.
